Monte Bondone’s three peaks are Cornetto, Doss d’Abramo and Cime Verde. They surround the pastures of Viote and are accessible thanks to a circular hiking route which connects them all. It is one of the most quintessential of Monte Bondone’s hiking trails, as well as one of the most popular.

The starting point of the Monte Bondone Three Peaks trail is Viote. After an initial level stretch you reach a fork. We recommend that you take the route which goes up to Bocca Vaiona. Just take the left path from here and climb a few metres to admire a wonderful glimpse of the Valle dei Laghi. As you continue upwards, the lakes of Cavedine, Toblino and Santa Massenza gradually appear below you, framed by the Brenta Dolomites and set against the backdrop of the Adamello and Presanella glaciers.

After about an hour’s climb you reach, without too much effort, Monte Cornetto, which at 2,180 metres is the highest of Monte Bondone’s peaks. Below us there are panoramic views of the Valle dell’Adige and, to the south, of the Vallagarina with the Altissimo and Stivo mountains. To the north, there is the outline of the Palon, and the Doss d’Abramo and Cima Verde which we will reach by continuing our journey.

The trail continues and in about an hour and twenty minutes’ walk you reach Cima Verde. The path thus far is accessible to everyone. The ascent to the Doss d’Abramo is less so as it has two stretches for which it is necessary to have a via ferrata kit with you. If you don’t feel like doing this, you can skip the ascent and continue along the trail.

Once you reach the last peak you can take the return road and close the circle. It’s a great walk!
